The afternoon light slides across the floor and stops on something quiet. Where does the pattern begin? Nowhere you can point to.
Product details
Charcoal and off-white threads cross in a fine herringbone tweed, with a soft frost wash over the top. The pattern runs edge to edge, with no border, so the room feels wider. Black, white and soft dove grey sit together without shouting.
What do they say? They say rest. The crossing lines feel like two people leaning on each other, steady and warm. The frost wash cools the colour, and the room feels held.
Can a floor change how a family sits together? Under the coffee table it pulls the living room seating into one circle. At the foot of the bed it warms the first step of the day. A runner rug leads the eye down a hallway.
A larger area rug frames dining chairs. A bedroom or a covered porch suits it too. It is machine washable, a washable rug with a non slip backing and a low pile, so doors open over it It does not shed.
It is soft underfoot, pet friendly and good with children. Maybe the room still feels unfinished and the floor still cold Winter rugs for living room floors answer that. This modern rug, this abstract rug, is one of those winter rugs — a winter rug that makes the house feel yours.
Care
Small rugs
If it fits in your washing machine, wash it there. Use cold water and a gentle cycle. Do not use bleach. Lay it flat to dry.
Big rugs
A big rug will not fit in a machine. Vacuum it often. Wipe spills with a damp cloth, then blot it dry. Do not rub.
