Quoin Red Washable Rug

The stripes stay still, and the round peppermint swirls sit quietly between them. So what is really going on down there? It is a rug. A christmas rug that behaves like a modern rug, because the shapes are simple and the colours are clear.

Deep cardinal red runs beside warm cream in candy cane stripes. Deep pine green holds everything down, so the red stays friendly instead of loud. A touch of warm gold lifts the whole thing, like lamplight landing on paper.

The soft, gently faded tone of those colours is part of the design, chosen on purpose. And what does a floor like this say when you walk in? It says December is here. Not the busy part.

The good part. The part where the kettle is on, the tree stands in the corner, and someone sits on the floor because the sofa is full. The stripes feel playful.

The peppermint circles feel sweet and a little nostalgic, like a sweet shop window seen from the pavement. Together they say one quiet thing: stay, sit, be easy with each other. Can a pattern really hold a feeling like that? It can, because it repeats all over with no border and no frame.

Nothing boxes it in. The design runs right to the clean bound edge, so the floor looks merry from every chair in the room. Your children will see candy canes.

Your guests will see a calm striped rug in season colours. Both are true at once. Where would it do the most good? Picture one evening.

The lamp is on, the curtains are closed, and the pattern catches the light. Someone kneels down to wrap a present and stays there an hour, because the floor has become the comfortable place. A child lies on their stomach beside them, drawing.

The room does not need anything else that night. That is the sort of change a rug can make. In the living room, lay it under the coffee table The grey sofa suddenly belongs to the season.

Wood floors warm up. Tile stops feeling cold under bare feet. A green tree in the corner finds its match, because these are the colours the season already uses.

Put a runner rug in the hallway and the first step through the door feels like a welcome. Guests take their shoes off without being asked. Put an area rug in the bedroom and the morning begins on something soft instead of a cold board.

Even the dog will find the warmest corner of it first. But what about the mess that comes with a happy home? That is the easy part. This is a washable rug.

It goes in the machine, so biscuit crumbs, muddy paws and spilled cocoa stay small events. Machine washable means you stop guarding the floor and start living on it. The non slip backing keeps it where you put it.

The low pile, six millimetres, lets doors swing open over it. It is soft underfoot, it does not shed, and it is antiallergenic and antibacterial, which matters when a baby plays there. Pet friendly and child friendly, in plain words.

It works indoors and on a covered porch too. So what is left to decide? Only this. Every winter without it looks the same.

The floor stays bare and cool. The room is tidy, yet it never quite begins. You hang the lights, you bake, you move the chairs, and still something at the bottom of the room is missing.

You feel it each evening when you sit down and the floor gives nothing back. The cold board under your feet says it before you do. That feeling has a simple answer: a holiday rug that fills the empty space at floor level and lets the room finish itself. Quoin comes as a christmas area rug and as a runner, in many sizes, so the living room, the hallway and the bedroom can speak the same language

Red, green, cream and gold, repeating softly, quietly saying that this is a house where people gather. Choose your size, put the kettle on, and let the home feel warm, calm and yours.
